Do you know what body type you have?

That may seem like a weird question, but not knowing can have serious health implications.

If you are tired of trying the same old diets and workout routines and NOT seeing ANY results, this information is for you!

So we know that everyone has a different body shape, but we also have different body types. And it turns out there is a wrong and a right way to eat and exercise for your specific body type.

Click here to read a great article by Medical News Today, where they break down each individual body type, along with the do's and don'ts for each one.

The 3 different body types are:

  • Ectomorph: This body type is usually lean and slender and tends to have less body fat and muscle. People with this body type can often find it challenging to gain weight and muscle. An example of this body type would be the traditional fashion model.
  • Endomorph: This is when the body has more stored fat, lots of muscle, and gains weight easily. People with this body type are not always overweight. Football lineman and Marilyn Monroe are examples of this body type.
  • Mesomorph: This is when the body is athletic and strong. People with this body type are neither overweight nor underweight. Swimmers and volleyball players are examples of this body type.

Each different body type has different responses to foods, exercise, and certain diseases or illnesses.

For example, if you’re an endomorph – meaning you have a heavier body type – you may be at a higher risk for developing diabetes than someone with an ectomorphic body type.

Even though people with mesomorphic body types are generally more athletic, they are more likely to suffer from high blood pressure and heart disease.

These risks are real and they should not be taken lightly!
